The Death Of The Nintendo DS

After a long run of some great DS games on a great, innovative, handheld system.

__

The DS was innovative in a few ways, especially for handhelds.

The DS had TWO SCREENS (Nintendo Dual Screen). This can lead to a much enchanced vision of the game, as there is more to look at, making the gameplay varied.

But for the two screens, it mattered what the screens were.

The top screen is just like every handheld system / console: a screen for viewing. But the bottom screen was something special. A touch-screen, something unheard of.

The touch screen made the Nintendo DS special, and that is why it will always be remembered as it moves on and advances in technology.

Here are a list of the great games the have come and gone on the Nintendo DS:

New Super Mario Bros 64 DS, New Super Mario Bros., Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Scribblenauts, all of the Pheonix Wright games, all of the Professor Layton games, Dragon Quest IX, Nintendogs, WarioWare D.I.Y., Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Pokemon D/P/Pt, Pokemon HG/SS, Tetris DS, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Final Fantasy IV, The World Ends WIth You, Mario Kart DS, and Picross DS.

This list was finally topped off with Pokemon B/W being released last week (March 6), and Okamiden being released yesterday (March 14).

These games are the end to an impeccable run of great Nintendo DS games.

__

But now as the Nintendo 3DS being released in around two weeks (March 27), DS games are no longer going to be made (at least not the high quality ones).

__

So this marks the end of an era, and the beginning of a new.

__

So what do you guys think about the run of the DS? How will the 3DS make out?
