I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and for those of you who don't celebrate I hope you have a wonderful day.
Things that I'm thankful of......let me think
1. I have a wonderful family who love and whoaccept me for who Iam (although I haven't seen any of them in 3 years :( )
2. My cats....no seriously if i didn't have my cats to take care of I would probably never leave the house. ( funny they will be eating real turkey this year (frisky brand.) I on the other hand will be having tofu turkey. I'm vegetarian for those not in know.)
3. My boyfriend whos been my friend for over 5 years now and we have been dating a little over 3. He's seen me at my worst and at my best.
4.Video games.....yeah I know it seems lame to say that but for real it is. Back in the day my dad and Iwould play duck hunt on the NES and Bonk on the Turbo Grafix ( if any one knows what that is good for you.) Those are some great memories. My dad is also a huge PC gamer and makes sure I don't forget about the PC exclusive titles.
When I use to get sick when I was in school I would stay with my grandmother and my cousin would come over and play mortal kombat. He would play and I would watch while I ate my soup. To this day seeing some body get there head ripped off makes me feel better...........ummmmI may have a problem.
I joined a karate after many hours of playing Tekken 3. I become a teacher and to this day some of my best memories come from that dojo.
I can't even begin to tell you how great it is to have DS when your waiting for the doctors to call you in, or when your waiting for your car to get worked on, or when your sitting alone at a restaurant waiting for your friends to arrive.
I worked at a gamestop and made some of the greatest friends I have ever had. I also meet my boyfriend there. He was my boss at the time :D
When I was super depressed back when I was about 18 and 19. I can't even tell you how escaping into Final Fantasy games made me feel better.
When my boyfriend and I first moved in together we only had enough stuff to fill one small bedroom. So that's what we did we never used the first floor of the apartment for about 3 months until we got a couch. We didn't even have a bed for a few days. But we had a TV and a 360 I use tofall asleep to Oblivion. Now Elder Scroll games give me a lot of comfort.
When I was 17 the PS2 came out and it was super hard to get. I waited in line for it at midnight to get one and when I did I was the coolest kid in school. Everyone was like "Hey Jen, you want to hang out tonight? Oh and bring your PS2." Yeah that was my favorite time in high school. I made some amazing friends that I still hang out with to this day because of my PS2.
So to end this before it gets even longer. Video games have been in my life since day one and to not have them around me who knows what kind of person I would be now.
So to my favorite hobby I'm thankful! :)
