A solid arcade-realistic clash that will easily find fans. Whatever that means.
The gameplay is simple racing. No need for a huge explanation here. The Kudos system is easier to come by now and tapping a wall wont completely wipe out the combo like in the first game.
The graphics are lower than the first one, but I do believe that is to make way for all the awesome cars and the incredible soundtrack. The cars are similar to their real world counterparts. Viewing them in the garage is nice, but viewing them while your going at about 150 is better. The camera angles are fun to fool around with, but not recommended if your near some sharp corners.
The sound is the best part of the game. Each car sounds different, the tires squealing, the music blaring. Its all good. And with a soundtrack of over 100 artists, who can complain. Not to mention you can intergrade your own songs, not just the soundtrack, with ones from the game. I also believe you could do that in the first one too.
This game will most likely stick in your collection even after your done playing it. To be honest, I have yet to complete it. The races though do get repetitive and not much can be done once you complete it. But thats why you start a new profile and play again.
Id easily recommend this game to anyone who wants to buy an Xbox. Although by now, Project Gotham Racing 3 is on its way and so is the 360. rendering this game soon obsolete.
