This games raises the bar on fun... and scale. Pure delight.
This is not like Grand Theft... it is very different.
And YOU influence on many levels - from none at all; to concern; and absolute terror. This game captures "terror" and how it spreads thru a crowd or the city itself in an unbelievable manner.
I can not say the story is perfect; is it good... and the way it is told - very well done. The cut scenes are very good ; the "dream visuals" are excellent.
However - playing / being a good/bad superhero... with the powers to boot ; is just plain guilty pleasure.
Jumping from the tallest building and landing SPLAT ; busting up pavement, cars , enemies and more... - NEO STYLE - never gets old.
Let clear up the hype - you can be a superhero; drive a tank, a heli; fly ; assume anyone's form ; be good or bad or inbetween ... be feared or respected... or the darkest bad ass alive.
This is like being a comic book hero ; in real time - in a real living ; breathing city.
Action - intense... understatement. Fast, furious and worth every minute.
Graphics are very good... considering at any one time there can be over 100 people on the screen at once; explosions everywhere; bodies flying... cars flying and general mayhem... and you at the center of it all OR observing it.
Freefalling from the tallest building [or climbing them] will make your stomach jump out ....
It is a living breathing city bent on destruction with or without you...
I can only hope there are more games like this...
