This game is a ton of fun and laughs. Missing out on this game would missing out on a creative masterpiece.

By far, Psychonauts is one of the best platformer games that I have ever played. While on the surface the characters are extremely odd looking but it's consistent with the whole world so it works. You play as a young boy named Razputin, Raz for short, who has run away from the circus to go to a psyhic summer camp. But all is not right. Almost as soon as things get under way the children's brains starting missing but our hero is well equiped. Raz's circus training enables him to preform a great number of acrobatic moves that most normal people couldn't and a wide range of psychic abilities. All of his abilities and powers are easy to access and use.
Now the different levels is where thing really start to get interesting. What would the inside of someone's mind look like? Well you get your answers right here in the game. You'll journey through a war torn battle field, a dance party, battle Napoleon, wonder a mind of a true paranoid and much more. All the level are set up completely different from each other so it's never boring. Throughout the levels you'll collect figments of their imagination, find vaults with their secrets hidden inside, and help sort through their emotional baggage. You'll be doing this so you can rank up and gain more powers and strengthen that ones you have.
The levels aren't the only interesting thing. The camp is full of interesting characters and mini plot that have no point in the progression of the game. There is no shortage of things to see at the camp between levels.
This game looks, sounds, and is amazing. They balanced combat and puzzles quit well. I only wish it was longer. If you haven't picked up this game I highly recommend it.
