Let me start by saying that all the articles and reviews I've read concerning Psychonauts are all true. I know you've probably seen them too and I'm sure that, just like I did, you paid them no mind. All the glowing reviews and critical adoration are well deserved, but were all ignored just like the game itself. So here we are, many months later and the price drops. I have a soft spot for great things that go unnoticed so, trusting in the things I'd read, I picked it up. And I have to say that this is a truly great game. The creativity present here is evident even from the title screen. I haven't played a straight up platformer since forever and I doubt I will again unless something as unique as this comes along again. Fantastic voice acting and a great script really set Psychonauts apart from many games of the genre. And the Tim-Burton-on-acid visuals are simply refreshing. It really is a crime that it sold so poorly. The PS2 version only sold like 20,000 units which I think, after having played it, is a crying shame.
