I'm doing a second review and is well deserved
Gameplay is your basic Punch Out expectations, dodge the punches, hit him and over again, which isn't a bad thing. I thought its variety was prime, no boxer the same, all with their own country's stereotype, (there are a TON of stereotypes in this game). You've got 3 circuits: minor, major and world, it seems short, and it is but then there's title defense, so it's not that short. Overall, you've got great gameplay.
So, you've got good controls and great gameplay, but this is a reboot, right? Well yeah so what does the game bring that's new? I'll tell you, it's not much. Disco Kid is the only new character which doesn't bother me too much and they added some characters from Super Punch Out. However, what irritates me the most is what they took out of the game. Let's face it we all wanted Mike Tyson, I would have even been fine with that ass crack: Mr. Dream. But instead we got Mr. Sandman, who I like, but here begs the question: Why in the world is he a boss?! I just don't get it.
Sound wise this game is AMAZING, enough said. Music is great, corny, but fitting sound effects and great voice actors.
Graphics are good, for the Wii, which as you know is a low bar. They're not bad but doesn't stand close to the 360 and PS3. But as the Screwattack fan I am, I know that graphics don't matter that much.
Overall, this game is great not as good as I thought it was before but it is still a fantastic, and enjoyable reboot.
