Addicting, innovative and original
There's not a game out ther like pursuit force on ANY system past or present. It has a completely unique style that draws from many games and movies. In my opinion, just whole concept presented by this game makes it worth it alone.
I guess I should start with the graphics - they are awesome. All the environments look great and you can tell developers but a lot of detail into them. The explosions and action looks awesome and there is never any noticeable frame rate slowdown. One couldn't ask for more in this department.
The sound in this game is very average. Not good, but definately not bad. It's fitting and it works but beyond that there isn't much more to say.
The controls are great and work flawlessly almost every time. Some have a bit of trouble with the jump button as the icon will often flash for a split second then go away, messing you up some when you think you are about to jump. This isnt really an issue because if you ahve positioned yourself right this icon thing won't happen.
The gameplay - wow. Their literally is nothign like it. There is so much variety in both the types of missions to the vehicles that will have you covering both land and sea in your pursuit of vigilantes. The slow mo jump is awesome and the action is as raw and hardcore as it gets. I suppose there isn't a lot of depth to the gameplay as you basically only have career mode and race mode (career is the core part of the game, race mode is kinda like a more story oriented version of burnout).
The game itself is very challenging but not overbearing. Thanks to the checkpoint system getting through levels isn't so much a pain but like any good challenging game you will have to repeat a few several times. This kind of difficulty combined with 30 action packed levels make for a fun and long lasting game, and even if you beat it you'll want to go back and play teh classics again and again.
In summation, this is one of the best games for PSP if you like action. It's just so much fun and is a brand new genre of action game period.
