Looks great, very weak story, disappointing AI.
I played Puzzle Quest 2 through on hard difficulty... It was a challenge at first as I developed my character, but eventually I was defeating any foe in my path. I expected as much, making good choices for your character should lead to success.
BUT, this version of the game fails in some important aspects:
1) story is very weak and very poorly implemented into the game
2) some side quests seem silly and lack any creativity
3) the "friends" aspect is a waste, the friends don't help at all and have an irritating way of butting in with useless chatter
4) shabby AI, as some enemies make poor choices and miss opportunities to finish you off or slow you down
Anyway, I did enjoy the artistic style, but when the story is weak and the NPC opponents are flaky (and sometimes under-equipped), I feel let down overall.
