I'll come right out and admit it: I don't ask for much from my futuristic racing games. As long as they look good and move fast I'm happy. QR is from the makers of Wipeout and boy can you tell. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Wipeout was a classic series that could certainly stand to be revived on the current gen consoles. Wipeout3 for PS2 was OK, but QR is even better. The difficulty is spot on, unlike F-Zero GX, which is just psycho hard. You can easily pass the novice and amateur ranks on just one or two tries, but after that, forget it. You better be a joystick diva! There's not much more to say. The music is a little weak, but you can replace it thanks to the Xbox soundtrack feature. The design is a little average, unfortunately they didn't get the Designers' Republic this time around. Still, it looks flashy, there's a great sensation of speed (particularly when you kick in the turbo boost) and it will keep you entertained. Rent it or buy it used, it should be easy to find now. I dig it!
