Quest 64, man I love this game. Overall, very fun, simple, 1997 RPG. Great N64 pick up. Ive replayed about 20 times.

What can I say about quest 64? Is it the best game in the world? No.
Is the worst game known to man? Definatly not.

I picked this game up 7 years ago, and I still replay it to this day. I can't say much to support it, its just incredibly fun to play and play.

Graphics arent too shabby for 1997, some framerate issues however.

I very much like the no money system, and the 50 spell limit on each element.

People don't understand the depth the game has. If you flip through your screens, you actually have a "defense" and "agility" stats, core RPG statistics come into play. Level ups, hp, MP, I don't see any problem.

This game, for one, is very straight forward, not much of a story.

We go from point A to B. Monastary to Brannoch Castle. Nothing great about it, but nothing wrong with it.

Later on, enemies are incredibly difficult, especially in the desert area.

However, one trick is to get the spells "magic barrier" and "Drain MP" and "healing lvl 2" and you basically have won the game already, you cant die.
Kinda cheap- but hey whatever.

The final bosses, and almost every boss, is very challenging.

The music scores for the most part are pretty good. The only poor one would have to be the world map theme, its just so annoying.

For example, the music at the end of the game is very very awesome.

Overall, this game is very good despite what other people may say. Take it from me, have fun with the simplicity, and just enjoy the old schoolness.

7.5 From Me.
