wow, a one of a kind game in the ridge racer series, this game was made by namco which was also the same company for Ridge Racer V, the storyline is amazing, it reminds me of initial d where a quiet driver becomes one of the best drivers around. I also found the videos in the game storyline very entertaining, has a point, and funny. My favorite car to use in this game is the Dodge Charger built for drag racing because it's equiped with nitrous and that is the only car in the game that's equiped with nitrous. Speaking of nitrous, the cars in this game are performance customizable, so as you race in career, and arcade, you earn points to buy or unlock cars, use the points to upgrade an existing car you have before, and even make a classic car as fast as a prototype car. The graphics are amazing, and I would definitely buy this game.
