Cheap and cheerful but lacking a little something.

There is one problem and one problem alone that makes this game suffer - lack of online play. There is only local 4 player multiplayer which means is a shame for a game that would have benefited from it.

It is quite a cheap game on the PSN so you have to expect it to be a little short but it makes up with this with brilliant visuals and the 'Dodgeball' game mode, there is a lot of fun to be had with that and it is my personal favourite game mode. Sixaxis motion moves help to add variation to the game and the create a character mode is a welcome touch.

7.0 is a respectable score for the game as it is, but it is worth mentioning Pain's recent update giving the game online multiplayer. It is possible that this game could get online in this case.

All in all this is a simple pick up and play beat 'em up with some interesting Little Big Planet style controls to keep it interesting. It would easily get an 8.0/8.5 if there was some online play for it.
