A stylish, witty and very original beat-em-up game that actually does work on the PC.
Well, this smart little game from Valve is set to change all of that and is the only beat-em-up game I know that can be played easily using a mouse.
First things first though, this is not a huge and involved game, it is cheap and doesn't even come on a disk. You buy it through Steam and digitally download it to play and it is not expensive at all.
But what it does is bring something truly new and original to the genre and is very enjoyable to play.
The characters do not use conventional animation when they move and fight, instead they move with a rubbery, wibbly response to the teasing of the mouse cursor. It is all done a limb at a time, by right clicking an arm say and then dragging the attack arrow to the target. It sounds very weird but it actually works really well.
As for the rest of the game, well you fight other characters, you can pick stuff up that will charge up your 'Chi' which is needed to actually fight. Nothing too complicated and I think the game is better for the simplicity.
You should try this game, it is cheap and fun, two of the best features I think in any game.
