Extremely disappointing effort that feels half-finished.
Cons: totally linear, incredibly short campaign; lack of varied locations; horrible ending; non-existent backstory; a lot of the mini-games feel tacked-on.
Rage is a game produced by a studio with a great pedigree, yet the game ultimately disappoints on so many levels. The great characters, voice-acting and graphics can't overcome the very short and very linear campaign.
In playing the game, I got a distinct feeling that id Software gave-up halfway through the campaign, as you get to play through the EXACT same levels multiple times to progress in the story.
I did like the trading card game as part of of the game, but other than that, really no original ideas in this game. Rage is easily finished in less than 20 hours, but I don't see it holding the attention of many, if any, gamers after that.
