A pretty standard shmup that satisfies the nostalgic cravings
Some definite positives is that it is just simple shmup gameplay. Nothing too outrageous, and there is really no learning curve as long as you have played shmups in the past. The difficulty is right where it is supposed to be. As the game moves it gets into crazy epilepsy-mode where it is just stuff all over the place, but that is actually quite appreciated.
Not a ton of negatives, it is sort of strange especially when considering the positives I wrote, but it would have been nice to have some type of new feature.
Overall, I simply enjoyed the game. Nothing new is brought to the table, but I was not really looking for a ground-breaking game. I wanted classic gameplay, and that is what Raiden Aces provides.
