The classic Railroad Tycoon at its Best!

I played the original Railroad Tycoon to death back in the early 90s. It was one of the few decent games you could play on an 8mhz machine. I don't miss the graphics or the horrendous PC speaker noises, but there have been many times that I missed the wonderful gameplay. Well this is not just a better looking 3D version of that game, they have updated the gameplay and made it so much better.

This is an excellent business sim game. The new system of automatic train car selection is much more accurate to how trains work than the original system, but the settings allow you to set your train cars however you prefer. You can make a train that hauls whatever is at the station, only hauls express, or manually set the car manifest yourself.

I really like the personal wealth side of this game. Where you manage your salary and bonus money in the railroad stock market. An essential piece from the classic that was missing in "Railroads!".

The economic supply and demand system in this game took a while to get the hang of, but is a very good and reasonably accurate to true life model. The business side of your railroad lets you buy up the entire chain of supply and demand to maximize your profit.

I could go on and on but basically there is nothing about this game that I don't like. If you like train sims, business sims, or any kind of transportation sims, grab this game. Right now you can get it for around $10 (depending on your country/currency) on Steam.
