Despite the sometimes overwhelming lagging issues this game is a really good time, escpecially over LAN.

Rakion is a Action Role-Playing game developed by Softnyx, which is also known for the popular strategic shooting game called Gunbound.

The game plays out to be a quite good looking game, even in it's lack of impressive graphical effects most of us are used to have nowadays. But the game has some good looking sequences as some pretty nice looking moves, grips and charather design.

When you first get the game up running you'll have to choose one of 5 different charathers, each one of them with their unique strengths and weaknesses. Such as the basic swordman "Warrior" with well-balanced standard attack power and in-precise but still quite deadly daggers, and there's a Mage with weak health and armor but with some pretty devistating magical attacks. And from there there's a Archer, Blacksmith and Ninja.

When you got your charather choosen you will have to go through a very basic tutorial "stage" which get's you confident with the controls and the most basic fighting mechanism in the game. And after the tutorial you're ready to take on a couple of different types of gamemodes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Stage (clearing a couple of rooms filles with a smaller variarity of creatures) and ofcourse, the most common in this game: Golem War. Golem War is a pretty unique mode that's about cooperating with your teammates and plan tactics focused on the different charathers and really use their special abilities to get the score. There's two teams and both have their Master Golem they have to kill/defend depending on which team get's the Golem Sword by killing the Golden Golem in the center of the map.

But what's really frustrating about this game is probably not only the sometimes overwhelming lagging issues but also that some classes have a annoying superior position such as when a bunch of Archers gets together and get easy kills from half way of the map. But most of those situations is removed when playing a free-for-all deathmatch.
Another thing you'll notice is also that you won't be able to play with people outside the Europe for an example, the game servers is pretty strict and if you're looking to play with a friend another side of the world you'll only be able to play people inside the borders of your country.

Even how annoying some situations in the game might get, and how much lagg you'll face when playing online, this is still a pretty good game. I easily recomend this game for all users running on a bigger network - It plays out really smooth and fine during LAN games.
