Ranger X was one of the first games I ever played on the old SEGA, and it remains one of my favorites in my collection. The old school side scroller form is backed up by beautiful details and graphics and a smooth game play. The controls for the game are very unique, requiring the player to use the A and C buttons to face one way or the next, allowing you to fall back while still firing int he same direction. This can be a bit complicated to get a hold of at first, but newer gamers should be comfortable enough with the complex controls of newer games to pick up on these controls rather quickly. The wide array of weapons you can gain, as well as the arcade style game play and graphical art make this a game, in my opinion, that every gamer should play at least once, if not own.
