Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is an awesome platformer and a great PS3 title too. It is a game that should not be missed! If you have played any of the previous games (especially the first ones) then you will LOVE this game. But just what's so great about it? If you want to find out, then dude, read on!
Okay, I don't really want to tell you all of the story, but all I will say, is that things really get messed up. Dr. Nefarious is back and now he wishes to control time for his own evil deeds. While Clank is still away with the Zoni, you will learn many things about his past and who he really is. Ratchet, this time alone, wants to get Clank back but no matter what, he has to stop Nefarious. Most of the game, you will play without Clank. The story is one of the surprisingly great things in this game. It's really complex for a platformer
and that on it's own is enough to make this game above average.
The Characters are fantastic. They are remade with the shiny new graphics and you can really get used to them. Ratchet is back, and so is Clank. Some other familiar characters will appear too but you will mostly see new people appearing who are quite awesome too. The environments in this game are also cool, with the cool graphics and so many variations in the planets you visit.
One thing I really liked, is just how much stuff this game was packed with and how nice it played. It was just plain fun. Walking on small moons, visiting amazing environments, choosing from the variety of weapons to fight with, helping out lost space pilots, travelling to different systems, blasting your way through waves of enemies and looking cool in various pieces of armour. There is just so much stuff to enjoy! Like the weapon system - every weapon can level up and can be upgraded using different modifications. These add-ons change the look of the weapon and it's stats. As the weapon raises it's level (it levels up as you use it) it also gets more powerful. Also, many gadgets to suit yourself with, make this an even better experience!
There is lots of great things about this game, it definitely shouldn't be missed by any PS3 owner. If you want pretty much ANY type of game as long as it's good, then get this one! It's well above average, it's fantastic, a great PS3 title. So, what are you waiting for... go get it!
