I LOVE THIS GAME! Although the USA title make me laugh! Why? I'll tell you that AND the highlights of this game!
I can't help but chuckle at the title. BUT this is because I am from New Zealand, where this game sold under the name 'Locked and Loaded', not 'Going Commando'. What has this got to do with chuckling? Just that, in New Zealand, 'Going Commando' means walking around... without any underwear.
THE REVIEW:
Ratchet and Clank. What an idea. I absolutely love this line. In fact, I believe, in my honest opinion, that (in all the games I've played) this has to be the best.
Stunning visuals, catchy music, creative game play and enjoyable humor make this a great game!
Chuckling aside, this is a fantastic game! I mean, I just... how can one describe? The camera seems to just shift to a natural position (although something a little closer to birds-eye – a little higher up – would be nice), the worlds are exciting, you really feel like you're DOING something – and you get to blow things up. I am no sweet little girl about this.
You. Get. To. BLOW STUFF UP!
As an improvement on the previous game, playing a second time really is a nearly new experience. Same missions and targets, but new results, more work to be done – it's like taking the challenge all over again, like up until now you've been on level 'Can I Play Daddy?'. Unfortunately, that's all it goes up to... CIPD and 'Don't Hurt Me'. (Some my notice which old PC game I'm getting my difficulty levels from!). No 'Bring 'Em On!' or 'I AM DEATH INCARNATE!!!' for the really, truly insane.
Interestingly enough, the last boss is not the hardest. No spoilers, but the last boss was easily managed with a Heavy Bouncer (ungraded Bouncer). No damage. I didn't even need the amour (which just meant I couldn't see his face). The middle boss, however, took much more resource – especially since you are fighting a very large entity with... well, nothing. An occasional Gun-pod. But these are so weak you're better off using your normal weapons anyway.
I don't want to say TOO much – people have different terms and levels for 'spoilers' – but I have to say, you need this game.
No, really, you do. Live off bread for a month, just get the game!
