Ratchet & Clank Review #2 The second installment makes some improvements to the already great formula.

User Rating: 9 | Ratchet & Clank 2: Locked and Loaded PS2
Opinion: This game injects more innovention and tries a lot more things than the first.

Story: Ratchet and Clank had just saved the Polaris Galaxy. They think they'll finally get a break when suddenly their thrust into a whole nother galaxy. The president of Megacorp, Fizzwidget, asks the heroes to retrieve a creature that was stolen from him. Thiis seems likes an easy job, but then Ratchet and Clank discover these little "pets" were actually homocidal maniacs. Thus, they go from planet to planet to stop these beasts.

Gameplay: This second installment adds a dramatic new feature that stays in the franchise long after, armor. You can buy various upgrades of armor from Megacorp's armor vendors that are found on certain planets. The downside is that this armor costs a hefty amount of bolts. The health system is also different. Instead of a certain number of nanotech bubbles, this game uses the armor to decreas damage, told through hit points. The stronger the armor, the less the damage. The weapons now upgrade, offering more damage and abilities.

Bottom Line: This falls slightly short of it father, but its highly entertaining and funny nonetheless.
