Even better than Secret Agent Clank, Size Matters may be the best PSP game I've played.

User Rating: 9.5 | Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PSP
The good: Great story & Voice Acting, Incredible graphics and environments, upgradeable weapons, and the same great Ratchet and Clank game play

The Bad: A somewhat short story, some longer than desired load times.

The Ugly: Realizing how similar this game is to Secret Agent Clank.

A while back I bought the game Secret Agent Clank, and had a blast playing through the mission. Recently I picked up Size Matters, and discovered it was even more fun than Clank. Size Matters proved to me that even in games, the sequel is not always better than the original.

The story serves as fodder for the action, but it does take interesting twists as it goes on. The great voices help it along, and give great delivery on jokes that may have otherwise fallen flat. Though not as funny as Secret Agent Clank, the game still has wit, especially when Quark comes in.

The game looks amazing, and environments and colors are bright and vivid. One of my favorite levels takes place in Ratchets unconscious mind, in some sort of hallucinogenic dream world. The trippy-ness makes this one of the coolest levels to play through, and get's you the closest to the sixties than any of us have been in a long time.

That said, the gameplay matches up to all of this too. Ratchet can find pieces of armor all around in the areas and minigames, and they each bring new and interesting features to the table, not to mention some damage reduction. The guns also get upgraded the more you use them, which is real incentive to use a variety of weapons.

All in all, the game is a great deal of fun to play. However, playing this after Clank makes you realize how much of the game is transferred to that one. Other than that and the games short length, there is nothing to stop you from playing this game. It is one of the best available for the PSP.
