You don't need to play the first two games to understand it, but I recommend you to do it. You get your old ship back with some new paints and noses to make it look cool.The storyline's also great with a robot named Dr. Neferious who wants to take over the galaxy. It starts with you finding out that your home planet, Veldin, is under attack by Thyranoids, so you and Clank head over there and fight.You team up with the Galactic Rangers to fight Neferious, his Thyranoid companions, and his robot army. There was only one person that ever faced The Dr. and survived, who you will be teaming up with also. The game has an awesome upgrading feature, the guns rock, the gadgets are nicer than ever, you get cool armor, and you have your buddy Clank at your back.
