Extremely fun game.

Ratchet and Clank was another great step forword for the platformer genre. Mixing traditional platformer elements and action weapons was a stroke of genius. The gameplay is highly addictive, exiciting and fun. You still jump around but in R&C you kick ass! There so many destructive and inventive weapons and gadgets on offer. It's a refreshing innovation for the genre.The graphics are some of the best looking on the PS2, all the levels and characters look amazing. The music and voice overs do the job too. The game is also very story driven with R&C taking a mad man (alien) to try and the universe. It really has that sci fi feel aswell as being very humorous and well written. Ratchet and Clank are both lovable heroes typical of the genre but the fact that they dont get on with each other and Ratchet is unwilling to be hero adds a new twist. Comparisons with Jak and Daxter would seem obvious as they are very similar games. But it seems unfair because R&C is a great game in its own right. In fact it's a classic. One that will last you ages and having coming back for more. With great gameplay, graphics and sound this is a must play game that all fans of platformers or action games should own.
