The fourth Ratchet & Clank game removes the exploration and plattforming but adds more insane guns and enemies.

I've always liked the Rachet & Clank series, the travelling between planets, sweet humor, and huge weapons are awesome. All the previous three games have been pretty much alike, only getting better and better for every new release. But the fourth game about Ratchet & Clank is pretty different. Ratchet enters a battle tournament, unwillingly, and is forced to win or he'll die.

The graphics are very much alike the once we saw in "Up Your Arsenal" but that's not bad at all. Tons of bullets flying through the air, and swarms of enemies running towards you, and the framerate never drops. This is very saticfying, cause the action in Ratchet & Clank has always been smooth and hopefully always will be.

The sounds are also great. From the great music to the hard hitting sounds from your weapons. The actors has also done a good job bringing all the characters to life.

Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked plays like the Annihilation Nation from Ratchet & Clank 3, which means you'll have a bunch of challenges just waiting to be completed. All the challenges are pretty short and lasts from 1 to 5 minutes! But this also gives the game a fast pace. You shoot like crazy from start to finish, and the weapons are even meaner than ever. You can add poison in the pullets, add plasma, or even make the bullets turn the enemies into various animals! What impressed me the most about this game, was the fact that the overall presentation is just as good as in the previous games. It is a shame that Clank's been almost completely removed this time around, he'll only brief you about the next challenge now and then. The game is very entertaining and never fails to keep you playing, but the fact that the game is very short is dissapointing. The Ratchet & Clank games have never been very long, but playing it through the first time in under 10 hours is just to bad. There are several difficulty levels, but there are still only 12 planets or so. These games can easily be playing through a second time, but it's still dissapointing. Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked is a great game with a lot of fun action, though I hope they return back to formula in their next game. I recommend it to every fan of the series, and to everyone that likes extreme action.

Very short. Clank is missing in action. The plattforming and exploration is gone.
