Not entirely worth it if you have or played Rayman 3 on this platform as well.
Let's start with the gameplay. It's incredibly familiar. It's got the same old mini-games in between (shooting, the mode-7 F-Zero kind of thing), and the same old gameplay, only the powers you gain aren't entirely interesting to use. Sure, the different costumes are great to see, but if only they did more. Plus, they don't really inhibit you from accessing areas all that much like in previous Rayman games. Before, powers were quite necessary for unlocking hidden areas you couldn't explore before. Now, they're just there to continue on in one spot or fighting a boss... and then you move on. The bosses aren't all that different either. There's the remake of the machine bit from Rayman 2 where you had to save Ly the Fairy (like in Rayman 3... again... only with a rabbid instead), and other slow memorizing sequence kind of things.
The graphics are actually alright. It's just that they're areas we've already seen before. There's a Picture City (from the original game) kind of deal only renamed and with various toys added. There's a Candy Chateau kind of thing. There's a Desert of the Knaaren. The list goes on with remade areas. The animation is also kind of hit-or-miss in areas. For example, you can get hurt while standing next to a barrel, and he still picks it up, but stays in his hurt stance kind of thing, so you have a floating barrel. Plums and balls are picked up through the floor. Just overall, the animation seemed to be more fluid in Rayman 3 or the original game (or even Rayman Advance).
The sound is recycled as well. The gibberish is back, but you hear the same thing over and over again that you can hardly care. Sounds ripped from Rayman 2 are present (yet again), and sounds from Rayman 3 as well are included. I'm not saying it sounds terrible, but it's just all been heard before. There's nothing new here. The music is okay in spots, but some parts are just downright annoying. I had to turn off the music to continue through the Toy Land area.
Just overall, if you've played Rayman 3 for the GBA or any other mobile version, you're not going to notice anything different other than all the enemies have been replaced with fuzzy bunnies. It's as if the hoodlums and pirates put on bunny costumes and continued on with the same-old same-old. If you haven't played Rayman 3 for the GBA, pick it up instead. There's no reason for me to recommend this unless you absolutely need more Rayman.
