The only one of its kind on PS2!
A real arcade air combat game should not have the player having to suffer through black-outs, stalling and dying because they touch something or get shot once by merely one tiny homing missile!
So thankfully you will no longer have to die just because you touch something, no longer will you stall because you slow down or get a black-out for making the mistake of trying to make your aircraft turn, no longer will you have to worry about such things as your fuel running out or how much ammo you've got left in your guns or the amount of missiles you can carry.

The game is all about having fun, you take off and just have a blast while engaging in dogfights with enemy crafts, flying through tight canyons or high up in the sky at super high speeds with guns blazing and missiles flying all around you, all while large gunships try to obliterate you with their lasercannons! This game has a high level of action and it's just so much fun to play with the easy control system and forgiving game mechanics.
If you crash into a mountain wall or enemy ship you'll just take some minor damage and keep on fighting, no problem! And you can take your time to enjoy the air combat to it's fullest because you'll never have to worry that you'll run out of fuel or ammo. The ammo is temporarily limited though and you must reload it from time to time, but you'll never run out of reloads.
The graphics great, it's not the best looking game in the world but it does what it has to and works flawlessly. The ships you fly look great and the overall design of ships and other things is just really cool and futuristic looking.
The music is very orchestral and brings back memories from playing Warhawk.. it's great that PS2 finally got a game that follows up on what Warhawk started all those years ago.
The sound effects are good, stuff sounds like stuff and it's all good.
It's just so easy to get into this game and start playing. A true old-school arcade air combat game for sure. Last time I played a game like this was Warhawk on Playstation, so I guess that between the old Warhawk and the new one coming out for PS3, this is what you get, Warhawks unofficial cousin, Rebel Raiders Operation Nighthawk!
I strongly suggest renting this game if you're not an arcade air combat fan, but if you are one, BUY IT NOW! You can't regret it because this is the only game like this on PS2 so you're options are simply to buy this or try and find an old copy of Warhawk on eBay or something.. but you should already own Warhawk if you're a true arcade air combat fan!
