Red Dead is a collection of a thousand little things that all come together to create a totally believable virtual wild west world. 15 hours into the game you will still be experiencing new things that continue to delight and surprise. When I saw a man playing fetch with his dog just outside the perimeter of a small outpost I had to stop and marvel at the detail. I was awestruck when once I tried to save a man from being wrongly hanged by a posse and I failed to shoot the rope and he died. The dead man's friend whom had brought me to the scene to perform the rescue dropped to his knees and wept next to the dead body. The world is full of these moments almost around every corner.
The multiplayer is still going strong years after it's release and the free form open game world is a very refreshing. There are a lot of glitches that can suck you out of the immersion but they are few and never game breaking. I'm really looking forward to finishing the game and taking on the Undead Dead Nightmare.
Must play.
