It's always good to see a western style game. This game delivers and it's fun to play.
After watching the intro video, within like a minute of playing the game you get a horse and learn to ride it. This is great because what's a western without a horse and this game gives you one rightaway. And horse back riding is well done. Once you understand the controls you will appreciate the game so much because you can hold "a" and gallop at the speed of your companions unlike other games, plus you find horses in the wild that you can tame which adds fun detail to the game.
I like the idea of open world because there is so much to explore and sometimes you want to take your time and enjoy the scenery, which is marvelous I might add. I love the day-night shift. In the day you feel like your getting your butt kicked by the Sun and at night the moon and endless stars make you stop a minute and enjoy the starry sky. Sometimes people on the side of the road will ask you for help, you can help them or not it doesn't matter because it doesn't affect the main story line. That's why it's fun because the choice is yours.
Things I like about the game: killing and skinning animals, the dead eye function, living the cowboy dream, a huge world to explore, so many minor details that you would think it took them forever to create this game, in-game challenges and so much more. Like I said, I've only played this game for 6 hours but I can't wait to play it some more. I can already tell that this game is well-worth the money because it'll keep you going for months to fully explore and complete everything. I'm just a sucker for riding your horse in the desert with the stars over your head.
