Rinse, repeat
For the first 10 hours this game is awesome. The graphics are good, not great, but good enough. There's lots to do, and the world is immense.
BUT, once you've been playing for a while, you begin to notice that yes, the world is big, but it's all the same. Miles and miles of nothing. Another thing that's disappointing is that some buildings, like the bandit hideouts are exactly the same. Ride around, kill animals, skin them, look for interesting things to do until you realize that in the wilderness, it's pretty blah.
The towns are really cool at first too, but then once again, you begin to see that all the shops sell the same damn things pretty much so there's nothing really exciting there. The much touted whores and townsfolk are basically just walking automatons. You get challenged to gunfights for no apparent reason, by the same damn guys in the same damn places over and over. I like to get caught cheating at cards just so I can whack someone different.
They do have a hell of a good poker minigame though.
You can't sell old equipment, you can't sell horses, you can't sell cattle, I mean why not? You're basically broke all the time but it doesn't matter because you get free ammo and there's nothing to buy in the shops, you can't go whoring and drinking in wild saloons, the saloons are filled with non entities who don't even start decent drunkien bar brawls. I haven't broken a chair over someones head the entire game.
I realize I'm really sounding negative, but truth be told, the game is good for what it is, I just expected more.
