I simply fell in love with this game. In so many ways it is now tied with the MGS series for me.

Now i know many people believe this to be GTA with horses, but NO not at all. Yes the GTA series is awesome and i happen to love those games for there free roam and just unique story lines, but Red Dead Redemption is a game of its own blood. Now i dont know about many of you but to me theres just something beautiful about the old west. When i first got this game i was a little skeptical i thought that it could just be GTA in a old environment not capable of fufilling my enjoyment but woah was i wrong. After the first few minutes of gameplay i knew i was in for a treat. The free roam as well is just absolutely spectacular. People who loved fallout 3 will feel right at home and those of you who felt that Fallout was to empty then youll be happy to know that it is nowhere near as barren. There are so many random events, that i couldnt list them here. sometimes youll find a guy who asks you to give him a ride and theyll hop on and give you money in return, but often youll meet a bandit instead and find yourself chasing after someone who stole your horse, mainly ending in you shooting the man. The game also has good character balancing where you may choose to be a rough and tough outlaw with no morals shooting out every whiskey stand in town, or you may choose to be a good guy, saving women from town drunks, but even still you could be ruthless by killing the said drunk, or merely shooting his hand or throwing a lasso around him to keep him still till later. Everything you do in the game goes towards your honor or deception. as well as fame. Would you like to be known as the man every city fears, having to fight and gruel your way through bounty hunters and the law or do you want to be a lawman yourself, who gets heckled by bandits but rewarded with shop discounts, and friendly folks. And lets not forget that you can also remain neutral and do as you see fit, with no real benefits or precautions. The story line is great, youll see yourself hoping for revenge and companionship with others, not to mention the likability of the protagonist John Marston. This is a must buy in my opinion for everyone, and also a great contender for the GOTY. The multiplayer is great as well. pitting up on the whole map is fun. you can do everything together, there are no restrictions from what you could do alone, just additions. Its always great to get some friends and get one of them to join you in a life of crime and have the others join your nitch or persue you for the bounties on your heads. Also another thing is that all the creatures roaming the deserts and grasslands are free game, you can hunt and skin them all, trade with locals, or sell in shops. Even in some cases the side characters who have nothing to do with the storyline and are completely just chance you found them are memorable. No other game has done this in my opinon, in this way. sure we all remember the seed man in zelda but when you see old man picketts, picking flowers for his wife and his task for you to collect flowers for her, the surprise is both interesting and somewhat funny, as the reactions from John are priceless and is just something that no other game has done. This game simply put is amazing. Like i said before this game is great, and everyone should try it, one of the best games of all time i my opinion. The only downside is that i cant get enough of it and am already prepped for a sequel!
