A fantastic view of a dying west and one man struggling to leave his past behind.

This game had everything. Aspects of classics, something new, and a truely immersive story. John Marston was an outlaw (now a rancher). But his family have been kidnapped by the U.S. Government and will only be returned safely if John co-operates with them by bringing in his old gang. After a rocky start, John meets some interesting and not all likeable characters along the way as he tries to gain people's trust and help to bring about his ultimate reunion with his wife and son. With all you can want from a wild west game, including saloons, whores, duels, horses and wagons, along with mini-games such as Liars Dice, Poker, Horse Shoes and Blackjack, you'll want to be an outlaw to the end. There are so many challenges, that even when the main story is done (and be aware. It 'ain't over 'til you see the credits roll) you'll still have fun in the west finishing ambient challenges, mini-games and hunting. The Undead Nightmare DLC is also worth a look as it expands the game and crosses over well into the horror genre. With mythical creatures such as the Sasquatch, Chupacabra, and the 4 horses of the Apocalypse (Famine, Pestilence, War and Death) and as a bonus, Unicorns, you'll push your hunting skills to the test.
