I had a chance to play a lot of Red Dead Revolver and i have to say i was very impressed with this game. It really captures the player in the setting of the wild west and lets the player have some fun for once. I noticed a problem with it and thats mainly keeping this score down. The graphics in this game are not that well done it makes you wonder what in the world happened to Rockstar when they were making this game. The game's graphics resemble a MONET painting, from far away it looks great, but once you get a close up (and there are many close ups) it's all blocky and angular and not a pretty site. Besides the close ups the graphics are actually very nice looking they dont really make you cringe and wondering "What in the world is that supposed to be?". The sound and gameplay are very well done, i have to give an applause to Rockstar in these two categories because they didn't tie your fingers up trying to make you shoot a six shooter. The game mainly consists of two buttons, the triggers, because that makes you draw and shoot. The sound in this game is right on the money with westerns they didn't incorporate too much of the hollywood spectrum of gunfire that movies do now. I've seen my share of westerns and i must say this game with its sound really makes you have flashbacks. In my conclusion i stress that everybody play this game even if they dont like westerns. If you like simple story lines and wanna have some fun go out and dont hesitate on buying this game. But if your brain requires for dramatization and more excitement then this simplistic game is not for you. In my mind this game's rate is well deserved, good job but get better Rockstar.
