Remember Me could have been much more then it was and yet we can only see but get some of what we see.
Now (Remember Me) tells the story of Nillin in a world where memory serves as life supply and currency(sorta) she is a former memory hunter for hire who then got captured and got her memory sucked out of her but manages to escape with the help of Edge a leader of a revolutionary group of memory hunters against major memory companies who took neo-paris to ruins and so she must rebel and fight against the companies to stop the ongoing system.I know it's very simple but it plays out alright.
Nillin is pretty much the most memorable and interesting protaganist in the entire game and you care for her and her fate because she is strong yet very vulnarable which really reminds me of how i cared for lara in tomb raider but just like tomb raider you don't give a damn about any other character in the game for example you almost never see Edge through the game and any other person in the character is just there to progress the story and is never memorable.
The world of Remember me is very VERY beautiful as you explore many different locations though out each chapter of the game but the problem is THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST LINEAR GAMES IN HISTORYYYYY.
you explore the environment like uncharted jumping from one ledge to another in a very LINEAR path which is very disappointing because if this was an open world game i would definitely give it some points but it doesn't even have any side missions just linear scripted events that take you on your next area.
What is also disappointing is the combat now the game has this system where you create your own combos and for the most part it works as it has four different branches which are power attacks that do extra damage and regen attacks which give you more health and focus attacks which lets your cooldown meter for power moves go down faster and chain attacks which do a bigger rate of the attack that happens before it now this is very elaborate and can make many types of combinations but the problem is that the kicks and fists are already pre-defined which means if you to put a kick instead of a punch slot than you can't do that which makes you wait longer through the game to earn more combo branches which makes for a more of less linear and some times frustrating time in combat.
Overall i liked remember me i thought it was a solid different type of experience which i should have said more about but will leave it unspoiled to who plays it and i would love to see this spawn a more open sequel as it probably will but i hope it is a more non-linear experience than this beautifully crafted game.
