Worth picking up and playing
positives:
1. stunningly gorgeous environments, a lot of intricade ornate details went into building Neo-Paris
2. A good (female) lead, with a rather interesting backstory
3. Musc soundtrack is a plus
4. A story that has some neat twists in it.
5. The game is linear but is done so because the narrative demands you keep pressing forward.
Negatives:
6. Combat is finicky, and if it was not for one group of enemies it would not be so bad. However, with this agile type of enemy it becomes almost impossible to connect your combos together to be at all. This results in combat being a much longer slug fest, as the longer your combo's are the harder you are hitting them. an interesting concept that isn't used to it's full potential, but could be if in the chance of a sequel ever gets produced.
2. Camera is sometimes too close behind and gets you turned around, or purposely is hiding your full view to hidden pathways - forcing you to do a leap of faith sometimes.
3. Aiming is a chore especially when your in a fight that requires speed of flexbility.
-----------------------
Overall good game, just combat becomes a drag, which is unfortunate. but Neo-Paris is gorgeous, clearly a lot of love went into building it's mythos and world. The music is appropriate as well for the game, never giving you sound that feel off and breaking the illusion of being in a cyberpunk dystopian Paris.
good game, worth the play through.
P.S.
I chose to say hard for difficulty, because of the combat mechanics, camera, and aiming while in combat issues. It's the most sloppy part of the game. Just playing on normal difficulty for me required multiple retries from facing off a group of basic enemies.
For your average player, this will be a trying chore.
If your in it for purely the story, then I recommend playing on easy and just skip working with the convoluted and clumsy fighting mechanics.
