The very beginning. Believe it or not but this was the Resident Evil game to start me off, sure I had seen little chunks of the first one on the playstation. But this is something special. The characters for a start, Rebecca, the cute medical rookie. Billy, the slick, cool ex-military convict. James Marcus, the synical fiend who is taken over by his own creation and Albert Wesker with William Birkin, the troublesome two of Umbrella. Next, the graphics. This was also one of my first gamecube games I brought, I thought the graphics were amazing, even now when I look back it's still revolutionary to me, from character and enemy design to the rendered backgrounds, beautiful. The gameplay, everything I wanted in a game, fighting zombies, co-operating with a partner (the zapping system is genius), gorey fighting if I might add and the tension of the door opening screen (even if it is annoying). The music is pretty relaxing in some places and gets the adrenaline going in others, especially where they are needed. I think that not only was Resident Evil 0 the start to the mansion insident but the start to the phenominal series that is RESIDENT EVIL. Thank you.
