same ol gameplay

Not much has changed from the previous Resident Evil games, it still plays the same as all other installments. However, that does not mean there are no new gameplay elements. On the contrary, there are a couple of new features.

One being the ability to switch and control both characters at the same time. A barrage of options accompany this feature, you can select whether or not you want your computer-controlled partner to follow you or stay put, or you can just control him/her yourself with the C-stick (handy feature if he/she is in the way). You can also set whether or not you want him/her to shoot when face-to-face with a grotesque monster. The ability works well, but it is not perfect. It is difficult when in very small, compact areas, picture it like this, you are taking on three zombies by yourself while your friend is around the corner figuring out what to do.

In addition, the other ability allows you to drop items anywhere. That means you do not have to wait and find a storage chest to drop whatever baggage you do not want, you can just chuck it on the floor, and just in case you might have to come back for it, it will be marked on the map, so it can be a quick and easy recovery. It definitely comes in handy if you plan on packin’ major heat.

Controls are difficult and sluggish as usual, but you know that before you even play a Resident Evil game. While it is usually not too big of a problem when exploring or fighting weak and dawdling creatures, but it can become a problem when in a boss fight or fighting quick and feverish enemies.
