After releasing Resident Evil Code: Veronica on the Dreamcast, Capcom ports its PlayStation predecessor Resident Evil 2 so Sega gamers have a chance to play one of the most entertaing horror games ever made. In the game, you play as rookie cop Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield's biker sister Claire who arrive in Raccoon City to be greeted by a horde of zombies that have overthrown the city. When playing the game as either character, you will make a journey from the streets of Raccoon City to a lab underneath the city. You have an option to choose playing as Leon (disc 1) or Claire (disc 2). After completing their scenario you will play the other character in a B scenario which shows what they were doing while the other player was wandering around. The only problem with this is that you still do the same puzzles as the character in the A scenario. While one scenario will take about 3 to 4 hours to complete on your first playthrough if you times that by four scenarios (Leon A/Claire B + Claire A/Leon B) and you've got plenty of value. What also makes this version worth more than the other ports (PS,N64,GC,and PC) is that it has many bonus features like an FMV viewer, Art Gallery, Arranged Game with Very Easy and Very Hard modes and unlockable mini-games. While the graphics look clunky and the voice acting is weak, the game''s pre-rendered backgrounds look good, and the rest of the sound effects sound fine. Overall Resident Evil 2 is a great game with many added features and difficulties that it worth the $20-30.
