Capcom has finally figured out how to setup the aiming system, RE4 showed how they should've done it.

GOOD: Aiming system, gameplay, big bosses, sound effects

BAD: somewhat stiff voice acting, needs more control of camera

I've always been a fan of the Resident Evil series and RE4 just made me want to play the next installment more. There is no doubt about this game winning game of the year because it's the game that will probably shape how other RE series and other games like it be set up. The aiming system is just so much more fun and engaging then how previous RE series were set up. With this aiming system you can precisely choose which limb or part of the body to shoot first giving you a chance to save your bullets if you just go for the 1 kill head shot. As like other RE series the environment is dark and the houses are haunting making you really love that 9mm or awesome shotgun. The enemies are creepy, suprising, and ugly as well. It all just adds to the horror and spine tingling feeling you always get when playing Resident Evil.

Although RE4 is a highly superb game with awesome gameplay, the storytelling isn't always telling enough. This may just be my opinion but Capcom probably could put more effort to make a more detailed storyline and probably get better voice acting too. The gameplay is just so good but the storyline just leaves you wanting to know more.

I actually beat the game once and replayed again right after I beat it. It's just how they made the aiming system thats really making the game so fun to play. You'll be playing this game and never really wanting to stop until you beat it, I know I did.
