Resident Evil 4 takes place in Spain and you play as Leon Kennedy. My review is here and this game is just plain fun.

Resident Evil 4 took the old games and completely thrown them out of the picture and created a new and more fun experience. Resident Evil 4 takes place in a Spanish village with a one man platoon trying to locate the President's daughter of the United States. You play as Leon Kennedy and right from the beginning you play with an over-the-shoulder look and control Leon from there. And as you enter a house, a man with an axe tries to kill you and you now notice that the villagers are hostile as you try to fight off a village in one of the most intense parts of Resident Evil 4. They never stop with these intense moments either. Even when a cutscene appears, you can't let go of your control because of instant button presses that will outcome what happens. Most of the time you die brutally. Through the game you will notice that Leon has been impregnated with a virus called "Las Plagas" that turns humans into the "zombies" you face in the game even though they aren't zombies. You set off with Leon and the president's daughter, Ashley, to cure yourselves from the virus and escape. The AI in this game is extraordinary. After a couple of times facing the villagers, they will see what your tactics are and sometimes duck out of the way of bullets or easily step aside and come running after you. This is another intense moment where you will sometimes be low on ammo with maybe ten or more villagers all around you which clearly makes the idea of searching places for items to sell or ammunition to use. The gameplay is great and works well in a certain part of the game where you are stuck in a abandon warehouse with an ally man helps you fight off tons of villagers trying to kill you. The ally AI actually kills a lot for you but you still have to kill some villagers as well. The graphics are stunning on the gamecube and even the headshots look bloody and good. If I had one problem is that I see the same villagers over and over again and when you shoot them in the leg, they don't limp over to you they walk normally. I guess that's a very minor problem for a game that has accomplished so much from its predecessors. Resident Evil 4 is a must buy for people that buy older games or want a hell of a good time.
