Utter Perfection
The gameplay is really where the game shines; Resident Evil 4 took the franchise to a whole new dimension. It is not a horror game only, but a very intensive action game as well. Controls are perfect; weapons are upgradeable which give Resident Evil 4 an RPG feels to it. Enemies are beautifully crafted yet equally horrifying (I especially loved the chainsaw dudes) and fighting most of them will require some strategic approach. The game houses the most impressive boss fights, each battle is unique and very fun to play.
The graphics are truly amazing, I was immediately withdrawn to the massive landscape that the game provided at the very beginning, that feel of vastness never left while playing till the end. The enemies look so detailed which added extra creepiness and the bosses are lifelike.
The sound in Resident Evil 4 is on par with the stunning graphics. The sound effects (especially the constant creepy noises you'll constantly hear) give the game eerie feel.
Finally, I couldn't recommend a better game even if you are not very fond of the series of even the genre. Resident Evil 4 is visually spectacular, has frightening sound and inventive gameplay and truly one of the best games ever made.
