The Game that made me fall in love with my Gamecube Again

Resident Evil 4 is the sequal to Resident Evil 2/3/Code Veronica: X and is made by Capcom, and is for the Gamecube and soon to be released on the PS2. Resident Evil 4 takes place 6 years after the events in Racoon City, the Umbrella Corporation is put out of business because of the events of Racoon City and the effects of the T-Virus are made public. The game follows Leon Kennedy (one of the 2 main characters of Resident Evil 2), who is now working for the President of the United States as an agent. Leon is sent to rescue the President's daughter who has been kidnapped by an unknown group in Romania. The controls is this game may look like trouble if you look at the videos for the game, but they really are very easy to get the hang of. You can hold down the R Button to aim your weapon and press the A button to shoot. When you hold down the L Button, you take out yor knife and press A to swing your knife. You hold down B to run, and if you press B and Down on the Analog stick, you can make a full 180 Degree turn. The Graphics in this game are simple the best the Gamecube has to offer. The facial animations in the game are very well done. The character models are very realistic and well done, you can tell when someone shows anger, fear, joy, etc. The graphics also make the game have a very dark feel to it. The Graphics in most of the consoles games released this generation are put to shame by this game. The only complaint is that it's a tad muddy. The Sound is very well executed in this game. The villagers will yell when they are after you; When you hear a chainsaw, you know trouble is very close by. The music makes the game's atmosphere all the more darker. The voice acting in this game is very well done too. But the lines uttered by the villagers could've been had a little more variety The Gameplay is the main reason the game is so good. The A.I. actually makes you scared, they'll actually try and surround you and think of ways to get you. If you point a gun at a person they'll move out of the way, block the shot or run away. And if you're in a small area, they'll try and surround you and kill you. Another feature worth mentioning is the inventory box, you are no longer restricted to carrying only 8 items, it's turned into a box system (think the inventory system of Diablo) This game also carries that Resident Evil touch that I haven't seen since Resident Evil: Code Veronica. The game's length is also very long, it'll take about 20-25 hours to beat it the first time around. And there are extras that give the game alot of replay value. If you are a Resident Evil Fan, a horror game fan, or just looking for a good game, then this game is for you. Don't rent it.....BUY IT!
