I've never played a RE game in my whole life but this one, when I was younger, I saw a demo of RE for PS1, and it scared the hell out of me, I wanted to play it.... but I havent had the opportunity until now.
I played RE4 for gamecube in a Gamestop store, I didnt like it, I thought the controls sucked, but then it was released for PS2, and I read it had some extras, and I'm an Extra lover (for example MGS2 substance .. the best game I have ever played) So I decided to buy RE4, for a long time I was reading reviews and watching gameplay videos, I finally made up my mind and gathered enough money to buy it....
I got it 2 days later and started playing..........

GAMEPLAY
Ok, so you first start and get out of the car, you walk a little bit and start complaining about the controls, you get into the house, and ask a villager for Ashley (the girl you have to rescue), he swears in spanish and goes to kill you, at first is kinda scary, because you didnt get used to the controls, but you kill him, then you feel satisfied.
back to the review, the gameplay is freaking awesome, until you get used to the controls... after the fight at the town center, where a hoard of angry villagers try to kill you, you master the controls.
GRAPHICS
Really, I dont give a damn if the Gamecube has better graphics, you dont need em to enjoy this game.
SOUND
Well placed, each time you are fighting you hear a scary backround music, I give the sound a full 10
VALUE
Exellent, and with the PS2 extras it gets even better!

This game is the nicest survival horror game out... seriously.
