One of the greatest games in this series, RE4 on the playstaion 2 offers a few extra features that the cube one didn't.

User Rating: 10 | Resident Evil 4 PS2
In this game you play as Leon S. Kennedy, one of the main characters from the game Resident Evil 2. In this game you are sent to investigate the kidnapping of the president's daughter, Ashley Graham. You learn pretty early on, as in the first native you encounter, that the people around here really are not really the type that will help you in the investigation, and it seems they'll also try and stop you any way they can. You eventually are able to save her and then she's captured again, and there are a series of twists in the story, such as finding out that all these people are under some kind of possession, and you may end up suffering the same fate. You eventually meet a old friend, Leon's love interest in RE2, Ada Wong. The wide variety of characters made the game a very interesting experience, which wont be forgotten any time soon. The graphics on the PS2 arn't quite as nice as the game cube version, but there is additional content such as extra content, and a side game where you play as Ada Wong, adding to the already great story of RE4, of course since its not like you can transfer your already completed game cube data to your PS2 memory card, you'll have to repeat the game all over again, and some might not like the idea, personally it did not effect me since it's a good enough game to replay anyways. You'll have to get used to the controls again and its always smart to play for like 15 minutes to get a good feel of the controls and then restart the game, since you may have wasted some much needed ammo for closer to the end of the game. This game plays out completely different than any of its predecessors in the sense that it plays out more like an action horror game where as the others were a survival horror, where you struggled through the whole game mostly running from your enemies, where as in this game you only really need to run if your in some serous trouble like having no ammo and barely any health. Another new feature to this game is interaction in cut scenes, you don't just sit around waiting for the scenes to end anymore, now you end up having to fight to survive the cut scenes which is an interesting new idea to throw into the game play, at least its better than sitting around twiddling your thumbs, and it keeps the player on edge so they don't just slack off. The musical score for this game was pretty well made, and really suites the game really well. This game is truly a masterpiece, and if you did not get a chance to play it on the Game Cube you definitely should pick it up on the Play Station 2. The biggest flaws in the game is the fact you can't sidle and the over the shoulder camera angle can be kinda hard to get used to for some people. All in all this is one of the greatest games of 05 and is a must play.
