re4 for the ps2 is a port from re4 for the gamecube, its mostly the same game but the controls have been a little arranged around and most of all theres the extra new contnet. the story in the game is top notch you play as leon.s.kenndy a secret govemernt agent sent to europe were the US present missing daughter has been suposingly sited but about 20 seconds into the game you will find that things arnt right this semes apparent when leon is confrounted by a crazy man with an axe. the story unfolds and descrides why thease european villages are acting this way. the one new thing that defantly makes this more then a sequal to re3 is the new camera, the camera in the game is set at a 3'rd person view so now there no control problems when because the camera is allways in one spot. so the controls are absoluty amazing the resident evil series a nitorious for having charcters that control like tanks well now you have a great controling system and a great control scheme.

one new thing that realy amazing is the interactive cut scenes when you are watching a very outstanding looking cut scene 2 buttions will affear on the bottom of the screen to make leon avoid sertion death like dodge, talk ect. also with this new camera capcom can now inturduce new invorments so now you have some anazingly looking inviorments to look and prase. the enimies artifical intelgence are pretty the'll do anything to run, hurt, grab, communicate with other foes, and even specific enimies will have chainsuars wich are the much more strong enimies. the new contnet is that when you complete the full game with leon you can play as secret agent ada wong wich is 5 action packed senerios. wich is quite amazing it'll take bout 3 to 4 hours to complete. and then you've got assiment ada wich was included in the gamecube verson. also there is a new gun wich is a star trek lazer gun thingie you can only unlock this when you beat the game on the normal and hard mode this wepon is pretty good you can blast up to 7 to 10 enimies at once pretty cool eh. this game just looks amazing by ps2 standards by any standards and is still the same great game that it was on the gamecube. this is gameplay took almost took almost a decade to craft and the result is well nothing less then mindblowing.

in summary: resident evil 4 looks fantastic, is fantastic, has good artifical intelgense, great camera, great gameplay, still very freaky,

in the end if you are only litely into the series this is still a must own, and for resident evil fan a absolute must buy is an understament.
