The Resident Evil series has always stayed the same over the years and made other people stay far away from every single game in the series. With RE4, the series gets a complete overhaul. This is a port of a Gamecube game, so there are some little blemishes. Otherwise, these are flawless graphics. Whereas the original RE games had horrible voiceovers, the VO in RE4, while the script is a little wonky at times, is perfect. The gameplay will immerse you with it's behind the back gameplay and context-sensitive cutscenes. Whether you are a diehard RE freak or just a passing fan, RE4 will redefine the meaning of horror. This is possibly the game of the year. If you own a PS2 or Gamecube, then go buy this game now.
