Best Resident Evil to date...

User Rating: 9.4 | Resident Evil 4 PS2
Ok, this is the BEST Resident Evil by far. Everything is perfect. The graphics are amazing, not as good as the Gamecube's engine, but it's not that noticeable. Beautifully rendered character models and environments. The storyline is the best storyline in the series. The AI is perfect also. The president's daughter (Ashley) actually ducks when firing in her direction, which makes it alot easier to eliminate oncoming enemies without killing your main objective. Also, the merchants makes the series different. For the first time you can actually buy weapons, although you still have to search for the ammo. Upgradable weapons makes the game alot more fun. Furthermore, the cutscenes in this game are amazing. For the first time, players will actually be a part of the cutscene. No more, "Oh Yes! It's a cutscene, now I can finally go to the bathroom while this is playing." Keep that controller in your hand and be prepared to press a series of buttons, for your life depends on it. I really like the ability to aim anywhere on the screen, not just up, down, and middle, like previous titles. The map is useful as well. Everything is displayed on it if you don't know where to go. The voice-overs for each character is very good as well. Boss battles are epic also. Basically, this is the best Resident Evil to date, and if you've never played a Resident Evil game, get it. This game will satisfy new players of the series and older fans of the series alike.
