What a much needed boost to this series!
The extras that are unlocked after beating the game for the first time are cool and fun. Assignment Ada offers a different challenge especially since she can't use a knife. The mercenaries mode is a fun survival mode where there's a time limit to kill enemies and get a good enough score to unlock another character or unlock something else. And the seperate ways is a great exclusive mode to the PS2 where it explains Ada's story more and it's fun to play as her. I also like that after beating the game you have the option of loading that game and starting over with all the pesetas and weapons and things you unlocked. There is also two new weapons to buy when starting.
Even though the gameplay is faster and much more action packed in this installment, this is still a thrilling and scary game. I jumped when I first got my head sawed off by an enemy with a chainsaw. There are also some disgusting enemies that you want to keep your distance from. This game is best experienced playing in the dark. For a good scare. The main character Leon S. Kennedy is also very cool. I can't think of a mistake this game has.
