Ironically, at the time of Resident Evil 5's release, I have decided to go back in time and review the incredible RE4!
The next part of the game that is excellent is everything that has to deal with your inventory. First off, you are given a briefcase, which may not seem realistic, but is a huge help whenever you need to switch items. Because of this briefcase you can carry a lot of items including grenades, ammo, healing items, and of course, guns. You are not restricted to a small inventory (as in RE5) and you are not forced to make hard decisions in this matter. Also, every item from the flash grenade to the egg has purpose and can be used in a way to benefit you. You can also save an unlimited amount of times, and while that may not be important to some, it is extremely important to me. Having a limited amount of saves in a Resident Evil game sucks.
This game will give you a guaranteed 20+ hours on the first go around and it offers many extras upon completion of the game, including the mercenaries, a harder difficulty, and a couple of beastly weapons to use in your second file. Above all this game is fun and you will find yourself not putting the controller down. Whether you want to play this for the GC, Wii, or PS2, the bottom line is that you need to play it! I plan to tackle professional right away.
